They have taught me more than I think I could have taught them. The biggest lesson I have learned from them, is being put to the test right now, is that sometimes life comes at you hard, life isn't fair most of the times, and life is unexpected with the good times and bad times. It's what you do with the unexpected that challenges who you are in Christ. At every situation, every painful event, we have a choice; to look back with regret, or to move forward with a knowledge of a hope that this life is only for as long as God has a job for you to accomplish. This life is passing. That something far greater than we will ever be able to comprehend is waiting for us at the end of our journey.
All this to say, when something in your life happens that you were least expecting it, don't stop life and look back with regret. That's too easy to do. Yes, stop life for a moment, but thank God for what He has brought you through and the fact that He is our One and only Constant, then look forward and keep moving on with the incredible plan that God has for your life. Keep the destination in mind, but do not forget about the journey along the way.
Cheers to you, my Sweet 5th Grade class, for already understanding this life concept
and thank you for putting the "Student" in my "Teacher. "
