I See the World

I see the world as it is and it grieves me

I hear the people who cry out and it breaks me

I've loved the unloved, held the forgotten, seen the unseen

They are all around us, but why do we not see?

Fear and disease surround us

Orphans are alone and forgotten

War overtakes the nations

And what about the body of Christ?

We must love the unloved, rescue the forgotten, befriend the lonely 

Forget the state of self salvation that we are in day after day

We must secure the eternity of others

To live life in a state of urgency only knowing our security in Christ

Desire to be homeless...for mans' home is not in this world

  

Because I've seen, I feel responsible.  

Give me the eyes to see the world the way that You see it

We must live for something far greater than ourselves.

I want to love the way that you love me

Have faith that moves you to action
