The reality of hell is overwhelmingly frightening. We don't talk about hell. Naturally as Christians, it becomes the elephant in our room. We push it away and hide it under a pillow to pretend it is not there. Why are we afraid to really understand hell? If we truly thought about and understood hell, I guarantee our lives would change and change is something we all hate. We like our comfortable lives; going about our daily routines. If we really understood the reality of hell, we would live our lives with a passion and urgency to let God work through us to rescue His lost children. The reality that they face is beyond human comprehension of horrendous. It should keep us up at night, crying out on their behalf to an all loving and just God.
They need an encounter that will forever change their destiny.
"I cry out for the lost and forgotten. Rescue them, God. Use me everyday to show the love of Christ towards them. Awaken me to the reality that they are facing. The eternal reality that will be far worse than my human mind could ever imagine. Burden me for this reality and let me never be content with my secured eternity in heaven. Don't let me stop there, let me live with an urgency to secure the eternity of others. I want to live my life every day with a passion for the lost and forgotten."
