Yesterday as I was teaching these children I had this enthusiasm and joy that only comes when you are doing the thing you love the most. As the afternoon went on I spent time with each of the students to help them understand their math problems. Slowly the children started to understand the math problems that they previously had no idea how to work. Eventually, I saw on their faces this joy at the fact that they actually understood these math problems. I even got to the point with the students that they enjoyed the math and it was a game for me to give them math problems and let them figure it out. The joy and pride I had for these children is something I can never explain.
This morning I woke up suddenly an hour before my alarm and God gave me this revelation of what happened in the class room yesterday. He showed me that God looks onto his people the same way I looked onto my math students. There's so many people in this world that are lost and confused by the problems in front of them, but God keeps working with their hearts and He is patiently waiting for that one student to finally understand the truth about him, To get excited about Him,and to desire to learn more about Him.
Although it is not the greatest example and I'm not sure exactly where God is taking me with this, I do know He woke me up before my alarm went off to show me this revelation of his view towards his lost "students". And if it's important enough to wake me up, because we all know what a joy I am first thing in the morning, than it's worth sharing and blogging about.
God mourns and grieves over His children that are lost to the devil. This idea is becoming more and more prevalent to me as I'm here, being immersed, with the Guatemalans. Sometimes I like to view it this way, I'm a nanny for two sweet girls at home and if either of them ever were to be kidnapped, I would search to the end of the earth just to find them because i love them like they are my children. I'm sure each of you guys can think of a child, friend, spouse that you would do the same thing for if it were to ever happen. In the same sense, God had his children stollen from Him by the devil and God has commissioned us, as christians, to be his hands and feet, to find his lost children, and bring them safely back to Him.
Once each of us secure our spot in eternity it's then our responsibility to secure the eternity of others. So no matter where you are or what you are doing, you have no idea what kidnapped child you may be ministering to and slowly bringing back to God.
God is the ultimate teacher who's waiting for his students to fully understand Him for who He is so that He can have that pride and joy of knowing one more of his lost students have gained the true understanding of life. Go about your day today and instead of thinking about yourself, be aware of the people around you. Tune into God and let him show you that lost child He wants you to chase after
LOVE this! :)
